Armenia Faroe Islands prediction 2024-11-14

Armenia vs Faroe Islands prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-11-13 17:00.
[p]With two games remaining in the UEFA Nations League (UNL) cycle, Armenia will be well aware that despite no longer being able to finish in first due to their H2H failures against North Macedonia, they can secure their safety with a game to spare if they can beat Faroe Islands. And despite their inability to top the group, a League B return could still be on the cards if Armenia can retain second spot through the promotion play-off.[/p]

[p]Fixing their leaky defence will be key to doing that as since winning 4-1 in round one, Armenia have conceded twice in each of their following UNL clashes (D1, L2). Returning to Yerevan might be seen as a positive in that quest given their positive overall UNL record on home soil (W6, D1, L4), although three of their overall four home defeats in the competition came across the last four such matches, with 11 conceded goals in the process.[/p]

[p]Just one point separates the Faroese from Armenia, yet defeat here coupled with a Latvian win would see the visitors relegated with a whimper. Surviving in League C with a balanced record in the previous campaign (W2, D2, L2), HĂĄkan Ericson is yet to oversee a victory this time around despite some solid performances (D3, L1), and could return to the bottom rung of the UNL ladder for the first time since 2020/21 here.[/p]

[p]Possibly proving that League C is above Faroe Islands’ level, their only away victory in the competition to date came in the aforementioned 2020/21 season (W1, D5, L4). Another stalemate wouldn’t be too surprising despite Faroe Islands’ long odds; they managed to avoid defeat against the odds in the previous H2H, taking the lead twice, although they had to come from behind in three of their last four UNL away draws. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Al Fateh’s Lucas Zelarayán leads the way for Armenia in this UNL campaign with two goals, one of which was his nation’s first equaliser before half-time in the reverse H2H. Trying to marshal him may be versatile Tórshavn full-back Jann Benjaminsen, who has scored twice in his last four appearances for club & country, both times serving as team openers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Seven of Faroe Islands’ last eight UNL games have seen both teams score (W2, D5, L1). [/p]
