Arsenal PSG prediction 2025-04-29

Arsenal vs PSG prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-04-28 19:00.
[p]Neither Arsenal nor PSG have ever won the UEFA Champions League (UCL), but the winner of this semi-final tie will get a shot at making history. Arsenal host the first leg, and although they haven’t reached the UCL final since 2006, they’re unlikely to fear facing the PSG juggernaut in the last four after knocking Real Madrid out 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals. [/p]

[p]Ending that near 20-year wait for a UCL final appearance seems a realistic possibility for a Gunners side who are unbeaten in five prior H2Hs against PSG (W2, D3), with one of those wins coming last October when Arsenal won 2-0 in the league phase. That result forms part of an 11-match unbeaten run in UCL home action (W9, D2), and with little to play for in their domestic league with the UCL almost guaranteed for next season, all Arsenal have had to focus on lately is this tie. [/p]

[p]The same can’t be said for PSG who, despite already winning the Ligue 1 title, were still playing for a whole host of records. Those went up in smoke on Friday night though when they were beaten 3-1 by Nice, denying them the opportunity to complete a first-ever unbeaten French top-flight campaign, although the ultimate prize for the Parisians this term remains the UCL. [/p]

[p]Winning this competition is something that has eluded PSG since their takeover, and it’s the one that their supporters will be keen to win above breaking any other records this term. Five defeats from their last six away matches against English teams in the UCL (W1) hardly inspires hope they can take another positive step towards history here, but despite losing their last four UCL semi-final matches, they did dump English opposition out in the last two rounds this season (Aston Villa & Liverpool). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: A Bukayo Saka goal could be a great omen for Arsenal. He closed the scoring when these two sides met at the Emirates in the league phase, one of seven wins accumulated from eight career scoring outings in this competition (D1). Influential PSG star Ousmane Dembélé needs one more UCL contribution to equal the record for most goal involvements by a PSG player in a single edition, which includes six goals across their last four UCL road trips. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Arsenal have kept nine clean sheets in their last 11 UCL home games. [/p]
