AS Roma Udinese prediction 2023-11-26

AS Roma vs Udinese prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-11-25 17:00.
Roma’s Serie A (SA) season tells a tale of two halves so far, having started with only one win in their opening six league matches (D2, L3), only to turn things around and lose just one of their next six games (W4, D1). That change of fortune propelled them back into contention for the European spots, and they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways after the dull 0-0 draw in the Derby della Capitale with Lazio prior to the international break.

The Stadio Olimpico has played its part in Roma’s revival, with the Wolves winning six home games on the bounce, the first five of which saw them keep a clean sheet. The home faithful will be expecting another three-point haul when Udinese pay them a visit, and perhaps rightfully so considering their side has won 13 of the last 15 home H2Hs (L2).

With no draws in that H2H sequence, something may have to give here, since Udinese have drawn eight of their 12 SA games this season (W1, L3)! In fact, they have collected the most league draws among all of Europe’s traditional top-five leagues since the start of last season with 21 stalemates, and even saw a friendly with Croatia’s NK Istra 1961 over the international break end 1-1!

Manager Gabriele Cioffi would probably accept one point from the Stadio Olimpico if offered, even if it further embeds them in the relegation picture for now. They did notably pull off an almighty upset the last time they hit the road, beating AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro, but it stands as their only win in their last 16 top-flight outings (D8, L7).

Players to watch: The red-hot Romelu Lukaku is coming off scoring an outrageous four goals in Belgium’s 5-0 win over Azerbaijan, the same amount of goals he netted against Udinese in his last four matches against them. In reply, the visitors might look to Lazar Samardžić as he scored against Roma last season, contributing to seven of his last nine goals coming after half-time.

Hot stat: Only four of Udinese’s last 19 SA matches saw over 2.5 goals scored.
