Atalanta AC Milan prediction 2024-12-06

Atalanta vs AC Milan prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-12-05 19:45.
[p]Atalanta’s 2-0 victory at Roma on Monday night was the latest signal of their intent to remain in the battle for a first-ever Serie A title this season, ramping the pressure back up on leaders Napoli as they moved back to within a point of top spot. La Dea are now unbeaten in 13 games across all competitions (W11, D2) having won each of their last eight outings during that sequence.[/p]

[p]In Serie A alone this term, Gian Piero Gasperini has already seen his side net a division-high 36 goals, scoring 2+ times in 11 of their 14 league games to date including in every one of their six home matches so far this season. With confidence sky high as they head back to the Gewiss Stadium on Friday evening, Atalanta know that anything but a defeat will see them move into pole position in Serie A, even if just for 48 hours.[/p]

[p]Aiming to stop them doing so and making the short trip to Bergamo is an AC Milan side which has won only three of their last six Serie A games (D2, L1). Their only defeat during that sequence came against current leaders Napoli, but Paulo Fonseca’s side have struggled to gather any sort of momentum since his summer arrival, and sit four points outside of the European spots pre-round, albeit with a game in hand on most of those above them.[/p]

[p]Part of Milan’s problems so far this season has been a sub-par away record, winning just two of their six Serie A games on the road to date (D2, L2). Scoring goals on their travels hasn’t been an issue, with I Rossoneri yet to draw a blank away from home. Instead, conceding two or more times in four of those six games will be the primary concern for Fonseca, who failed to beat Atalanta four times during his stint as Roma boss (D1, L3).[/p]

[p]Key battle: Ademola Lookman has five goals in his last six league appearances, with four of those coming in the first half. Milan’s Mike Maignan has only ever lost once against Atalanta in Serie A (W3, D2) and has two clean sheets to boast against Friday’s opponents.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Atalanta have won just one of their last four home H2Hs with Milan (D1, L2), and haven’t recorded a clean sheet in any of those matches. [/p]
