Atalanta Frosinone prediction 2024-01-15

Atalanta vs Frosinone prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-01-14 19:45.
A fine start to 2024 for Atalanta continued as they came from behind to dump AC Milan out of the Coppa Italia at the San Siro on Wednesday, sealing their own progression to the semi-finals. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini called it a “remarkable achievement” for La Dea, who extended their current unbeaten run to four matches in all competitions (W3, D1) – their longest since early October.

The Bergamo-based outfit are also progressing well in Serie A, where they occupy a top-six place ahead of the round after securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Roma last time out. Just one defeat from five league matches stands them in good stead to push on towards the top-four (W3, D1), as does their active four-match winning streak on home soil which has seen them score 3+ goals three times!

That does not make good reading for Frosinone, who are enduring their worst winless streak of the campaign so far (L4). Eusebio Di Francesco’s men were thrashed 4-0 by Juventus to exit the Coppa Italia on Thursday, continuing an alarming trend of conceding an average of three goals across those four defeats.

The newly-promoted outfit start the round five points clear of the drop zone, but the Frosinone faithful know they’ll need to improve on the road to avoid being dragged further into the relegation battle. No side in the division has collected fewer points on their travels (D2, L7), and as they’ve blanked on their only two top-flight visits to Atalanta (L2), there’s very little reason to suggest they can turn that record around here.

Players to watch: Teun Koopmeiners has scored each of Atalanta’s last three goals, with five of his six competitive strikes this term arriving before the break. The visitors’ Abdou Harroui scored twice across Frosinone’s last five matches, including the last goal in their surprisingly emphatic 4-0 win at Napoli.

Hot stat: Atalanta have scored 20 of their 30 Serie A goals this season in the second-half of matches.
