Atalanta Lazio prediction 2025-04-06

Atalanta vs Lazio prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-04-05 16:00.
[p]A dip in form since the beginning of 2025 has seen Atalanta win just four of their 12 league games so far this year (D5, L3). The Serie A title now appears out of reach, but the Bergamo outfit still occupy third spot in the table pre-round and must continue to pick up points to ensure they finish in the top four and qualify for the UEFA Champions League for a second season running.[/p]

[p]Gian Piero Gasperini’s side haven’t been helped lately by a dismal home record, failing to win any of their six home league games in 2025 (D4, L2) despite winning each of the six at the Gewiss Stadium prior. Atalanta are goalless in three games on home soil, but history would indicate they’ll get back on the goal trail here, as they haven’t gone four consecutive home games without a goal in the top flight for almost 20 years.[/p]

[p]After a slump of their own, Lazio face a battle to qualify for Europe at all. Winning only one of their last six league games (D4, L1), they begin this round outside of the top six and four points behind the top four. Currently on a three-game winless run (D2, L1), the Biancocelesti could now go four matches without victory in Serie A for the first time since July 2020 unless they take all three points on Sunday.[/p]

[p]On the plus side, Marco Baroni’s side have won two of their last four away H2Hs with Atalanta (D1, L1), and if they are to repeat the feat this weekend, scoring first appears imperative. A whopping 13 of Lazio’s 15 Serie A victories so far this season have come after scoring first, and when that’s happened, they’ve lost only once to date this term (W13, D4).[/p]

[p]Key battle: Mateo Retegui has 22 Serie A goals to his name already this season, with five of the last six coming in the first half. Attempting to deny him here, goalkeeper Ivan Provedel has conceded 18 goals in nine career H2Hs with Atalanta (W3, D2, L4) – eight of those came across the three away H2Hs in that run.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Lazio have scored a pre-round league-high 18 goals after the 75th minute this season.[/p]
