Atl. Madrid Leganes prediction 2024-10-20

Atl. Madrid vs Leganes prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-10-19 14:15.
[p]Only two sides remain undefeated in La Liga after nine rounds, and both of those sides hail from the capital, with one being AtlĂ©tico Madrid (W4, D5). Even with that unbeaten start, AtlĂ©tico still come into this round seven points adrift of the La Liga summit after three draws from their last four league games, and as they seek to improve on that run against LeganĂ©s, they’re a little handicapped here by the fact crowd disturbances against Real Madrid have forced a part stadium closure. [/p]

[p]That’s the last thing the hosts need as they’ve won just two of their last five La Liga home games (D2, L1). They appear well placed to improve upon that run here given they’ve won three of the four top-flight H2Hs between these sides at home (D1), but with seven of the eight La Liga H2Hs held anywhere witnessing two or fewer total goals, this one may not be as cut-and-dry as the bookmakers odds suggest. [/p]

[p]Leganés might hope that lack of goals pattern ends here, as their only league game this season to produce more than two goals yielded their only victory so far (D5, L3). They come into this round narrowly above the drop zone, but on the back of a seven-match winless league run (D4, L3), their position is looking more precarious with each passing week as fears of an instant return to the second tier grow. [/p]

[p]Lapses in concentration certainly haven’t helped their cause this season, with seven of the nine league goals they’ve conceded arriving after the hour mark. That’s a problem heightened by the fact they’re the league’s joint-lowest scorers pre-round (GF5), and there appears little chance of that changing here given they’ve never scored an away H2H goal in top-flight action![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Ángel Correa could be the man to exploit LeganĂ©s deficiencies in the closing stages given his two AtlĂ©tico goals this season arrived in second-half stoppage time. Juan Cruz has netted three of LeganĂ©s’ five league goals this season, two of which opened the scoring, while he’s never lost when scoring for the club (W4, D3).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leganés are unbeaten in their last 11 Sunday-held La Liga games (W7, D4).[/p]
