B. Monchengladbach vs Heidenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-10-18 13:30.
[p]A mere six points from their first six Bundesliga games (W2, L4) wouldn’t have been the start Borussia Mönchengladbach dreamed of, but with the season still in its infancy, ground can quickly be eaten up. Whether boss Gerardo Seoane gets the chance to be the man to do that remains to be seen, as after their poor start to the campaign, he has reportedly been given three games to save his job, starting with the visit of Heidenheim. [/p]
[p]Their visit may be timely for Seoane, as Gladbach have never been beaten by Heidenheim in what is a shallow history between the pair (W3, D1). Returning home may throw a spanner in the works isn’t necessarily a boost as far as extending that run goes, as despite winning their last home league game against Union Berlin (1-0), it’s the only one Gladbach have managed in their last eight games at Borussia-Park (W1, D3, L4). [/p]
[p]Since opening their campaign with five successive wins across all competitions, balancing domestic and European commitments has since caught up with Heidenheim. The five games to follow saw them win just twice (L3), and it’s their league form that has taken the biggest nose-dive, losing three of their last four such matches, although they do actually reside in the top-half. [/p]
[p]They may just fancy their chances of returning to winning ways on the road, where they have been incredibly strong this term, with only Borussia Dortmund beating them (W4). All five of those matches saw Heidenheim score at least twice, but perhaps the most pleasing aspect for the longest-serving manager in German professional football history, Frank Schmidt, will be that his side kept three clean sheets in those games – as many away shutouts as they managed in the entirety of last season![/p]
[p]Players to watch: Tim Kleindienst swapped Heidenheim for Gladbach in the summer and made his Germany debut in the international break – three of his last four club goals have been headers. Similarly proficient in the air, Jan Schöppner has scored six of his last seven club goals with his head, including two game closers on the road this season. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: The designated home side has failed to score in four of Heidenheim’s six league games this term. [/p]
