B. Monchengladbach St. Pauli prediction 2024-11-24

B. Monchengladbach vs St. Pauli prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-11-23 16:30.
[p]The international break came at an inopportune time for Borussia Mönchengladbach, whose 0-0 draw against RB Leipzig extended their run to four Bundesliga matches without defeat (W2, D2). They haven’t managed a longer unbeaten run under manager Gerardo Seoane since his arrival and look to be gathering momentum as they seek to make a serious play for the European spots. [/p]

[p]Being back at Borussia Park should inspire further confidence, especially given each of Gladbach’s past three league games here delivered wins. Consequently, they could now win a fourth successive home league game for the first time since a streak of eight successive triumphs back in 2019/20, but six draws from their last eight games against promoted sides highlights why the hosts need to be on guard against complacency (W1, L1). [/p]

[p]It’s a bleak picture in the St. Pauli camp as they head to Mönchengladbach after winning only one of their last five league outings (D1, L3), although that did at least come in their most recent road trip to Hoffenheim (2-0). Even despite that, the visitors sit on just eight points after the opening ten rounds, which is their joint second-worst start to a Bundesliga season. [/p]

[p]St. Pauli’s most obvious issue so far is a misfiring attack that has managed a total of just seven league goals so far, a tally so poor that only one side across all of Europe’s traditional big five leagues (Serie A’s Lecce) had scored fewer coming into the weekend’s action. The silver lining is that all their goals have come in road trips, while H2H history is on their side with no away defeat at Gladbach in five visits (W2, D3) albeit with the last trip coming back in September 2010. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Gladbach’s Kevin Stöger has registered three goal contributions across his past four home league appearances of more than ten minutes (G1, A2). St. Pauli forward Andreas Albers could well be in manager Alexander Blessin’s thinking after scoring in their last away game as a late substitute, especially as his last seven goalscoring appearances were eventual wins. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only Holstein Kiel (four) and St. Pauli (three) had scorer fewer first-half goals than Gladbach (five) coming into this round.[/p]
