Bayern Munich Slovan Bratislava prediction 2025-01-29

Bayern Munich vs Slovan Bratislava prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – League phase betting tips on match 2025-01-28 20:00.
[p]Following their humbling 3-0 defeat at the hands of Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) last week, Bayern Munich managed to regain some confidence by beating Freiburg 2-1 over the weekend to increase their cushion at the top of the Bundesliga. That UCL defeat means that Bayern enter this final league stage round outside of the top-eight, although there is still a mathematical chance that they can progress straight to the round of 16.[/p]

[p]Only victory will be enough to give Bayern a chance and that seems likely in their first meeting with Slovan Bratislava, given Bayern’s ongoing joint-competition record of 33 unbeaten UCL home group/league stage games (W31, D2). One more avoidance of defeat would see them claim the outright record and that seems all but a formality here, especially considering the German giants have won eight of their last ten competitive clashes (L2).[/p]

[p]Adding further fuel to the fire of home hopes will be the fact that Slovan travel here as one of only two sides without a point to their name in the UCL, and subsequently with no chance of progression in this competition regardless of the result. If that wasn’t enough to ensure Slovan will travel expecting the worst, they’re yet to win after three visits to Germany in major European competition (D1, L2).[/p]

[p]They’ve been poor anywhere on the road in this competition, as the visitors are at risk of becoming only the fifth side to play at least ten games between the old European Cup/UCL proper without winning (D1, L8). Conceding ten times across their three away defeats in this year’s edition, there’s been little respite for Slovan, who trailed at half-time in all three losses.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Jamal Musiala has provided seven goal contributions across his last nine UCL home group/league phase games (G2, A5) and has never lost a UCL match here (W17, D3). Following his assist against Stuttgart in the previous round, Tigran Barseghyan has contributed to half of Slovan’s UCL league phase goals (G1, A2). [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Bayern have taken a competition-high 60 corners, averaging 8.6 per match on average. [/p]
