Bayern Munich Stuttgart prediction 2024-10-19

Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-10-18 16:30.
[p]Bayern Munich’s bid to reclaim the Bundesliga throne hit a snag in the final week before the international break after they were held to draws by Bayer Leverkusen (1-1) and Eintracht Frankfurt (3-3). Sandwiched between those stalemates was a 1-0 defeat away to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League, leaving Vincent Kompany’s men in danger of going four matches without a win for the first time since April 2023.[/p]

[p]The Rekordmeister scored a whopping 20 goals in three competitive games prior to this winless run, so don’t have to look far back to work out how to return to winning ways. Their long-term class suggests it’s only a matter of time before they do, even if Bayern are facing a Stuttgart side who have avoided defeat on two of their last three visits to the Allianz Arena (D2), albeit with the one exception coming in last season’s corresponding fixture (3-0).[/p]

[p]Stuttgart more than avenged that when they won the reverse fixture 3-1 in the closing stages of the season en route to finishing above Bayern in the Bundesliga table! Backing up such an achievement – with the added pressure of UEFA Champions League football – was always going to be a challenge for Sebastian Hoeneß’ men, and a three-match winless run of their own before the hiatus suggests the Swabians are not yet firing on all cylinders (D3).[/p]

[p]Most concerningly, Stuttgart’s three defeats in all competitions this season have all come in away matches, with the caveat that two of those came against the might of Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid. That’s unlikely to inspire much hope amongst a squad that has won just two of their last six away league matches (D2, L2), so they’ll need to upset the odds if they’re to win back-to-back league H2Hs for the first time since November 2007.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: After returning to the fold for Germany from an 11-month absence, Serge Gnabry will hope to sustain his momentum against one of his favourite opponents. He has directly contributed to ten goals in as many H2Hs (G5, A5), losing just once (W7, D2). Having also enjoyed a positive international break, Jamie Leweling could be primed to step up for Stuttgart after scoring on his Germany debut against the Netherlands.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Bayern scored in both halves of five of their six Bundesliga games this term.[/p]
