Belarus Luxembourg prediction 2024-10-15

Belarus vs Luxembourg prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-10-14 18:45.
[p]Belarus have been far from the great entertainers in this UEFA Nations League (UNL) cycle, but they’re chasing a first-ever promotion to League B regardless. Remarkably, their three games have produced just one total goal (W1, D2), yet the White Wings sit top of Group C3 after holding Northern Ireland to a 0-0 draw on Saturday, even if that continued a run of winning just one of their last ten UNL matches (D5, L4).[/p]

[p]History suggests things will remain tight here too as Belarus have won the last three H2Hs against Luxembourg without conceding a single goal! The ongoing loss of home advantage due to UEFA restrictions might well cost them however, as their last four home matches played on neutral territory in Hungary have failed to produce a victory (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]Luxembourg desperately need to capitalise as they look to alleviate their mounting UNL relegation fears. Though the Red Lions defended admirably in a goalless draw against Bulgaria, they’ve now won just one of their last seven games (D1, L5) and prop up the Group C3 standings having failed to score in any of their three matches.[/p]

[p]That’s hardly a good omen considering their recent H2H struggles, and hitting the road suggests things are only about to get harder. That’s because Luxembourg have failed to win or score in their last five away matches (D1, L4), though they can perhaps draw some hope from a respectable travelling record in the UNL down the years (W5, D3, L3).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Belarus’s only goal in 2024 was scored by Valeriy Gromyko, who was also on target in his last club game for Kairat Almaty before the international break, but was an unused substitute in their draw with Northern Ireland. Danel Sinani can move into the top-five leading scorers for Luxembourg with a goal here, and he’ll be confident having struck each of his last four UNL goals on the road.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Just one of Belarus’ 11 UNL home games have seen both teams score.[/p]
