Belgium Serbia prediction 2023-11-15

Belgium vs Serbia prediction: WORLD: Friendly International betting tips on match 2023-11-14 19:45.
Domenico Tedesco’s Belgium have already booked their place at next summer’s European Championship finals, after going unbeaten in the seven qualifying games they’ve played so far (W5, D2), and courtesy of being in a five-nation strong Group F, they sit this matchday out. It’s not a case of putting their feet up though, as a friendly against Serbia has been arranged ahead of their closing group game against Azerbaijan on Sunday.

Ranked #5 in the world by FIFA, Belgium face Serbia aiming to extend Tedesco’s eight-match undefeated start in the hot seat (W6, D2). They’ll fancy their chances of doing just that too having lost just one of their last five friendly encounters dating back to June 2021, a run which includes an impressive 3-2 win in Germany back in March in their last such conquest.

Their opponents on Wednesday evening, #28-ranked Serbia, could actually see their own qualification for the Euro’s confirmed without kicking a ball if Montenegro fail to beat Lithuania in the wake of this clash. That’s not to say Dragan Stojković’s side won’t be taking this seriously, as they have won all three of their most recent friendlies, including an eye-catching victory against the USA in California at the start of this year.

More recently though, despite two important Euro qualifying wins against Lithuania and Montenegro (either side of defeat in Hungary), Serbia have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last six internationals. They’ll have their work cut out against Belgium too, who have won all three of the most recent H2Hs, with the Eagles’ only triumph against their Belgian counterparts coming in their first-ever meeting back in October 2006!

Players to watch: Romelu Lukaku has been on fire for Belgium lately, netting ten goals in their seven qualifying games so far. Interestingly, six of his last eight international scoring appearances saw him net the game’s second goal. As for the visitors, Aleksandar Mitrović netted a brace last time out against Montenegro, and after making his international debut against Belgium in 2013, he’ll be keen to make them the 27th different nation he’s netted against since then.

Hot stat: Belgium have scored in every game under Tedesco since his appointment in February.
