Besiktas Bodo/Glimt prediction 2023-11-09

Besiktas vs Bodo/Glimt prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-08 17:45.
The 2023/24 campaign has been nothing short of disastrous for Beşiktaş thus far, as they already find themselves 12 points off the Turkish Super Lig summit, while they’re winless in this UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) group stage (D1, L2). Matchday four of their European campaign might well be the last chance saloon for the Black Eagles, who sit rock bottom of Group D after suffering back-to-back defeats.

Squandering a two-goal lead in the final ten minutes against Lugano spelled the end of Şenol Güneş’ tenure in charge, but interim boss Burak Yılmaz hasn’t fared much better, as Beşiktaş were beaten 3-1 by Bodø/Glimt in the reverse fixture two weeks ago. Conceding goals in clusters is proving a problem, as they shipped three in the space of 11 minutes against Antalyaspor at the weekend (L 3-2) – hardly ideal preparation as they look to maintain an unbeaten home record against Norwegian opposition here (W4, D1).

Bodø’s H2H victory on matchday three elevated them into the qualification places of Group D, and was a welcome reprieve after they had failed to score in their opening two matches (D1, L1). That triumph was the third in an ongoing five-match winning streak for the Yellow Horde, who all but claimed their third Norwegian title in four years with a dominant 4-0 win at the weekend that saw them rattle in three goals before half-time.

Kjetil Knutsen’s men are participating in their third successive European group stage, and on the previous two occasions, they’ve extended their campaign beyond the winter. If that impressive record is to continue, their away form may well be crucial as they’re yet to lose on the road in Europe this season (W2, D2), a run made all the more impressive by the fact that they failed to win any of their eight such matches last term (D2, L6).

Players to watch: Beşiktaş forward Cenk Tosun has scored in back-to-back appearances for the Black Eagles – his 88th-minute strike on matchday one earned his side their only point of this UECL campaign. Bodø’s Albert Grønbæk scored and assisted in the reverse fixture, part of a run of five direct goal contributions in his last four appearances (G2, A3).

Hot stat: None of Beşiktaş’ last seven matches in all competitions featured more than one goal before half-time.
