Betis Almeria prediction 2022-10-16

Betis vs Almeria prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2022-10-15 19:00.
On the back of two winless games (D1, L1) in La Liga (LL), Real Betis seek a return to winning ways in the league to keep their push for a UEFA Champions League spot alive. There wasn’t much relief on the UEFA Europa League front for Betis in midweek either, letting a lead slip to draw 1-1 with Roma, though there was a silver lining in the fact a draw was enough to see them through to the knockout stages.

With just one defeat in their last seven home Adalusian derbies (W3, D3), Real Betis will perhaps be confident of arresting their recent slide here instead. However, failure to score in their last two LL outings represents a clear problem that you would expect to be addressed against an AlmerĂa side Betis have netted six goals against across the last four H2Hs, despite losing them all!

Perennial strugglers Almería look set for another long season of battling to stave off relegation, but a 3-1 victory against Rayo Vallecano last weekend did at least move them away from the bottom-three ahead of this clash. That result ended a run of four straight league defeats ‘to nil’ for Almería, but the chances of following that Vallecano victory up with another win here appears slim considering they haven’t recorded back-to-back LL victories since February 2015.

Having never beaten a side managed by Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini away from home (D1, L3), Almería’s prospects look even bleaker, and that’s without considering they’re lost ten of their last 11 LL away games (D1). Just three goals scored across those 11 winless games doesn’t bode well for boss Rubi, who still finds himself under pressure ahead of six matches before the World Cup break that could prove crucial to Almería’s survival hopes.

Players to watch: If selected, AlmerĂa will be the 26th different side Betis’ Borja Iglesias has faced in LL, scoring against 21 of the other 25 clubs. No current AlmerĂa player has scored an away LL goal this season, but maybe El Bilal TourĂ© can be the man to do so after opening his AlmerĂa account against Vallecano.

Hot stat: Almeria’s LL games this season have averaged 11.63 corners per game – a league high ahead of the round.
