Betis Las Palmas prediction 2025-03-09

Betis vs Las Palmas prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-03-08 17:30.
[p]Thursday night’s 2-2 UEFA Conference League draw with Vitória Guimarães might have felt like a bit of a disappointment for Real Betis given that they have won their last three La Liga matches, including beating reigning champions Real Madrid 2-1 last Saturday. Firmly in contention for a return to Europe next season, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are good value for the neutrals too, as their last five league encounters have produced an average of 3.6 goals per game (W3, D1, L1).[/p]

[p]While four of those fixtures also saw both teams score, recent matches at Estadio Benito Villamarín against Las Palmas have been markedly one-sided, as Los Verdiblancos have won the last five such H2Hs in La Liga without conceding. Not since a second-tier meeting in March 2011 has Betis’ defence been breached at home against the Canary Islanders in all competitions (W5, D1 since).[/p]

[p]After winning none of their first nine league games this campaign, Las Palmas then won six of their next nine, but since Christmas, they have reverted to their early-season form and are now the only side to have won none of their last eight La Liga encounters (D2, L6). It is a run that is putting their top-flight status at risk, as they ended the last matchday just above the relegation zone after drawing 1-1 at bottom-of-the-table Real Valladolid.[/p]

[p]Despite the frustrating result given the opposition, it was perhaps something for Diego Martínez’s men to build on as they did it the hard way, going down to ten men in the 29th minute before ultimately earning their first point in four league away fixtures (D1, L3). While they scored in all four of those games, a measly one away clean sheet in La Liga this term suggests they’ll need more than just one goal to win here.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Cédric Bakambu has three goal contributions (G2, A1) across his last four appearances for Betis and his last four goals have all come after the break. Another potential scorer in the second half is Las Palmas’ Manu Fuster, as all three of his strikes this season arrived after the 65th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Betis have earned a penalty in each of their last three La Liga games.[/p]
