Betis Real Sociedad prediction 2025-02-16

Betis vs Real Sociedad prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-02-15 20:00.
[p]Six points adrift of the top six, but also only seven points clear of the relegation zone pre-round, Real Betis find themselves in an unusual position. A four-match winless H2H run in La Liga against Real Sociedad (D2, L2) would suggest Betis are in danger of ending the weekend marginally closer to the bottom three, while the most concerning aspect of that winless run is that they failed to score in any of those games.[/p]

[p]Never before have Betis registered a scoring blank in five successive H2Hs, and their 3-0 midweek win against Gent in the UEFA Conference League proved they can score goals. Getting back on the scoresheet is one thing, but getting back in the win column might be a little trickier, given Betis are without a victory in their last five home league games (D4, L1), although all five did see both teams score. [/p]

[p]There won’t be any physical advantage here for Sociedad, who were also in midweek European action, beating Midtjylland 2-1 away from home. The Basque side have lost some momentum in their league campaign in recent weeks, losing three of their last four games in La Liga, yet their form across all competitions is four wins in five games (L1) which perhaps suggests they’re prioritising cup competitions. [/p]

[p]Imanol Alguacil’s side have slipped off the pace in the race for the top six in La Liga and that is largely down to a bout of travel sickness. Sociedad have lost four of their last five away league games, including each of their last three, but they haven’t lost four such games in a row since February 2018, although that particular run was snapped with a 0-0 draw at Real Betis![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Manchester United loanee Antony continues to impress for Betis, opening the scoring in two of his three games since joining. Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal has been involved in 11 goals in 16 meetings with Betis in La Liga (G5, A6), his highest tally against a single opponent in the top flight.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: A league-low five of Real Sociedad’s La Liga games this season have seen both teams score. [/p]
