Bochum vs Werder Bremen prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-12-06 14:30.
[p]After 12 Bundesliga games, and despite appointing a new manager after round nine, Bochum are still searching for an elusive first win of the season! It was another defeat last weekend as they went down 1-0 at Augsburg, which means that they have failed to score in their last two matches and are rooted to the bottom of the table, eight points adrift of even the relegation play-off position.[/p]
[p]Dieter Hecking was under no illusions about the scale of the task when he took charge last month, and although he is yet to pick up three points, Bochum have tightened up at the back. The Blues have conceded only four goals in their last three games (D1, L2) – a significant improvement on their previous five matches (L5) which saw a mammoth 22 goals scored against them, and the new boss did record an impressive draw against Bayer Leverkusen in his first home game in charge.[/p]
[p]But upcoming opponents Werder Bremen are defending an unbeaten run at this venue which began in 1999 (W7, D4), and have an incredibly strong overall H2H record with only one defeat in the last 22 meetings (W16, D5)! Ole Werner’s side are also in good form across all competitions with just two losses from their last eight matches (W4, D2), and booked a place in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday.[/p]
[p]There is still plenty of room for improvement though, as they have lost their last two away games in Frankfurt and Mönchengladbach, and another defeat in this fixture may start to bring back painful memories of Werder’s seven-match losing streak on the road in the Bundesliga from April to October last year.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Lukas Daschner is one of only four Bochum players to have scored at home so far this season, but the attacking midfielder hasn’t come out on the losing side in his last ten league scoring appearances (W6, D4). Playing in a similar position for Bremen is Romano Schmid, who is unbeaten in H2Hs with Bochum (W3, D1) and directly contributed to two goals when the teams last met in May (G1, A1).[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Bochum have been 1-0 down by the 21st minute in each of their last four home games.[/p]
