Bolivia Chile prediction 2025-06-10

Bolivia vs Chile prediction: SOUTH AMERICA: World Championship – Qualification betting tips on match 2025-06-09 20:00.
[p]Appearing at the 2026 World Cup and ending a run of seven unsuccessful qualifying attempts at the same time looks increasingly unlikely for Bolivia after they were beaten 2-0 away by Venezuela on Friday. That result leaves La Verde without a win from their last six games (D2, L4) and means they trail the inter-confederation play-off place by four points which, with nine points left to play for, could prove to be an insurmountable gap.[/p]

[p]If Óscar Villegas’ side are somehow to sneak into the top seven, then picking up three points against bottom of the group Chile seems imperative. The omens look good for the hosts, as Bolivia won the reverse fixture 2-1 in September 2024 to record their first World Cup qualification (WCQ) success on foreign soil in 65 attempts, and given they’re unbeaten at home since November 2023 (W3, D2), they should feel confident of following up that success.[/p]

[p]Chile have lost six of their seven away fixtures (D1) in this qualifying cycle and have alarmingly found the net only once across those games! That solitary goal came in September 2023 on matchday one and they were beaten 1-0 by Paraguay in their last away fixture in March, results which contributed greatly to the fact that Chile now can’t directly advance to the World Cup finals.[/p]

[p]Ricardo Gareca’s side need to win all three of their remaining matches, while hoping that other results go their way, to give themselves a shot at the play-offs, but with an eight-point gap to make up with nine points left to play for, that’s an improbable scenario. Even with the possibility of adding to their impressive H2H record in Bolivia from 2004 onwards (W4, D1, L1), Chile’s chances of an appearance at the World Cup for the first time since 2014 are extremely remote.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Miguelito has scored five times in Bolivia’s last seven WCQ games and got the winner during Bolivia’s famous win in Chile last September. Chile have not scored in any of their last three games, but Lucas Cepeda contributed to five goals across their two prior matches (G3, A2) and looks like their best hope of finding the net here.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Bolivia haven’t conceded the first goal in any of their last five home games.[/p]
