Bologna Genoa prediction 2025-05-24

Bologna vs Genoa prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-05-23 16:00.
[p]The jubilation of Bologna’s Coppa Italia win, the club’s first trophy in 51 years, came with somewhat of a hangover as they followed up that memorable triumph with a 3-2 defeat to Fiorentina in Serie A last time out. Their fourth successive league match without victory has seen them fall to eighth spot (D2, L2), but the damage is limited seeing as their domestic cup win comes with a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League. [/p]

[p]The RossoblĂą will be desperate to end the season on a victorious note in front of their home fans, who have witnessed a 12-game unbeaten streak at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in all competitions (W9, D3). Just one home league defeat this term also inspires confidence (W10, D7), as does manager Vincenzo Italiano’s personal five-match unbeaten run in H2Hs against Genoa (W3, D2).[/p]

[p]Genoa hardly seem in the mood to change that, as their campaign is ending with a whimper. A 3-2 defeat to Atalanta last weekend made it no wins in their last six matches (D2, L4), with such form perhaps indicative of a side who’ve been safe in mid-table for some time now. They’re guaranteed to finish 13th, two places lower than last season.[/p]

[p]A dismal end to the campaign on the road has consigned Genoa to that position, as they’ve failed to win any of their last ten road trips since beating Empoli in late December (D5, L5). Their recent record against Bologna at least offers hope to manager Patrick Vieira, as Genoa have been beaten in just one of the last 11 H2Hs (W5, D5).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Bologna’s top scorer this season Riccardo Orsolini (G16) has netted the match opener in ten of his last 17 goalscoring outings, including in the reverse fixture (D 2-2). Genoa frontman Andrea Pinamonti scored a second-half brace that day to rescue the draw, kickstarting a run of seven of his last nine goals coming after half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Genoa have been drawing at half-time 21 times this Serie A season, second only to Venezia’s 22.[/p]
