Borac Banja Luka vs LASK prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-27 17:45.
[p]Bosnian champions Borac Banja Luka have made a better start to their first-ever appearance in the main draw of a UEFA competition than most would have expected. Picking up four points from their opening three games in the UEFA Conference League (W1, D1, L1) this term, they sit inside the top 24 qualification places ahead of this round of fixtures, despite netting just two goals across those three matches.[/p]
[p]That includes a failure to score in a 2-0 defeat to Vikingur Reykjavik on matchday three in which they managed just five shots of any description. That was a rare blip from Mladen Žižović’s men however, as that’s their only loss in 13 matches across all competitions (W10, D2), though not even a run as good as that is enough to make them favourites for this clash with LASK.[/p]
[p]Despite possessing much more European experience than their hosts, LASK have endured a turbulent start to this Conference League campaign. A winless three-match start leaves them adrift of the qualification places (D2, L1), while just like Borac, scoring goals is proving a problem, with LASK failing to hit the target in their last two matches in that run.[/p]
[p]Both those failures came under new boss Markus Schopp, but his arrival has certainly seen an improvement in results with LASK winning half of his 14 matches across all competitions to date (D4, L3). Two of those victories have come in succession since matchday three of the Conference League, most notably a hugely impressive 2-1 win away at Salzburg, so they should be full of confidence ahead of this clash.[/p]
[p]Key battle: Stefan Savić has already directly contributed to three goals in UEFA competitions this term (G2, A1), all of which came beyond the hour-mark – including the winner against APOEL on matchday two. LASK’s Maximilian Entrup is a man in form having netted three times in his last two matches, taking his seasonal tally to five goals – four of which came in the 87th minute or later.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: LASK haven’t scored multiple goals in any of their last eight European away matches.[/p]
