Bournemouth Leicester prediction 2022-10-08

Bournemouth vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2022-10-07 14:00.
Gary O’Neil remains unbeaten as Bournemouth’s interim boss and refuses to let his side’s standards drop, insisting they “could’ve been better” during last week’s 0-0 draw with Brentford. That result means the Cherries have won one and drawn three since the sacking of Scott Parker and highlights a monumental turnaround following a club record 9-0 thrashing from Liverpool!

Four games is in fact the longest Bournemouth have gone without tasting defeat in the Premier League (PL) since October 2018, but O’Neil will be acutely aware that they need to turn some of those stalemates into victories to stay clear of the relegation zone. Draws have been a running theme at the Vitality Stadium, with their last two home league games ending 0-0, meaning the Cherries have now failed to score in four of their last five top-flight matches on home soil.

Perhaps the visit of Leicester can spark Bournemouth’s front line into life given they have won their last two home H2H clashes 4-1 and 4-2. Leicester are a rejuvenated outfit though, and netted four goals themselves on Monday, drubbing near-rivals Nottingham Forest 4-0 with manager Brendan Rodgers admitting that result could prove to be “season changing.”

That result relieved some of the pressure building on Rodgers, who perhaps was feeling a sense of déjà vu having been sacked by Liverpool in the opening week of October in 2015! Fate looked set to repeat itself had the Foxes lost to Forest following a run of six successive PL defeats prior, but even after that first league victory of the season Leicester still sit inside the relegation zone, with their 22 goals conceded the most in the division after matchday eight, including 17 away from home!

Key battle: Dominic Solanke scored his first PL goals for Bournemouth against Leicester in 2020, but that was his only win in four H2H meetings (L3). Meanwhile Jamie Vardy has netted seven times in 12 clashes with the Cherries (W4, D5, L3), but is currently eight PL matches without a goal for the first time since a ten-game streak between August and September 2016.

Hot stat: Leicester have not won any of the last six PL away matches in which they have scored the first goal (D3, L3).
