Bournemouth vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-05-24 15:00.
[p]After a 3-1 midweek defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Bournemouth can no longer sneak into the top eight on the final day of the Premier League season. A top-half finish is now the ceiling of their ambitions, but to have any chance of finishing in the top ten they’ll have to improve upon a record of one win in their last seven home league games (D1, L5).[/p]
[p]In what is a must-win fixture in that regard, they perhaps couldn’t have cherry-picked a better opponent than an already-relegated Leicester, who Bournemouth have won four of the last five Premier League home H2Hs against (D1). Andoni Iraola’s men did lose the reverse fixture 1-0 though, and as they are yet to keep a clean sheet against any of the three relegated sides this term, they tend to do things the hard way against the league’s strugglers. [/p]
[p]Leicester have hit a purple patch at the end of the season, going unbeaten across their last three league outings (W2, D1), in what is their longest such streak of the Premier League campaign. Both wins came at home to the other two sides who’ll be joining them in the Championship next season, but they can perhaps be spurred on by the fact Bournemouth are the highest-ranked team they’ve beaten this term. [/p]
[p]They’ll need to cling to any positive omens they possibly can on the road, where they’ve won just one of their last 14 league games (D3, L10). The Foxes haven’t won away all season against a side currently 16th or higher in the Premier League (D3, L12), so it’s perhaps little surprise that this is expected to be boss Ruud van Nistelrooy’s last game in charge. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: In what will be his last game for Bournemouth before a summer move to Real Madrid, Dean Huijsen could look to sign off on a high by adding to his tally of three headed goals this term, each of which came in a victory. Also playing his final game for his club, Leicester’s Facundo Buonanotte will be returning to parent club Brighton. He netted the winner in the reverse fixture and his three league goals since all came on the road. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Leicester have conceded 2+ goals in 15 of their 18 away league games this season.[/p]
