Brentford vs Arsenal prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-24 17:30.
[p]Mid-table Brentford were on the receiving end of a 3-0 defeat away to Liverpool before the international break, ending what had been a pretty impressive three-game Premier League (PL) winning streak. Despite the setback, manager Thomas Frank was left pleased with the performance from his side at Anfield, and given they’re unbeaten in their last 14 PL London derbies (W8, D6), he should be confident of bouncing back with a positive result here. [/p]
[p]But the last London side to get the better of them in the PL was their upcoming opponents Arsenal (3-0). Since the Bees upset the Gunners in their first-ever PL clash back in August 2021 (2-0), they could not win any of the four successive competitive H2Hs (D1, L3), including a 1-0 League Cup win for Arsenal at this venue back in September. [/p]
[p]Arsenal spent the international break one point behind PL leaders Manchester City after a comfortable 3-1 win over Burnley. The two sides above them ahead of this round – City and Liverpool – are set to clash earlier in the day, so this could be a prime opportunity for the Gunners to leapfrog one of the two if not both![/p]
[p]With that in mind, securing a win would be the perfect way to mark Mikel Arteta’s 200th competitive game in charge of the club. It would be especially fitting given that, no matter what happens here, he will have won more of his first 200 matches (W115, D34, L50) than any of the other nine Arsenal managers to reach the milestone. But with a troublesome record of only one win from Arsenal’s last five competitive away trips (D1, L3), one couldn’t blame the Spaniard if he didn’t enter this milestone fixture brimming with confidence.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Often coming alive against their neighbours, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been involved in more goals in PL London derbies since the start of last season than any other player (13 – G5, A8). Meanwhile in the same timeframe, no current PL player had scored more London derby goals than Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo (eight).[/p]
[p]Hot streak: The last 64 PL matches to have involved either or both clubs all saw at least one goal scored.[/p]
