Brest PSG prediction 2025-02-11

Brest vs PSG prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-02-10 17:45.
[p]The first French club to progress beyond the first round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) in their debut season since 1956/57, Brest have already faced the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid en route to the knockout play-off round. A more familiar but equally fearsome opponent stands in their way here, as domestic rivals PSG visit with the Pirates needing to end a 30-match H2H winless run in order to reach the last 16 (D8, L22)![/p]

[p]It’s the first all-French UCL tie since Lyon and Bordeaux met in 2009/10, but Brest will have to banish the demons of that woeful H2H record which includes a 5-2 reverse on their own turf at the start of this month. Éric Roy’s men play their UCL home games away from their regular stadium, and perhaps that’ll help them here given that only defending champions Real won as their visitors in the league phase (W2, D1).[/p]

[p]PSG will certainly fancy their chances regardless after recovering from a dreadful start to the league phase to progress, winning each of their final three matches to sail through to the knockout play-offs as a seeded side. Luis Enrique’s men will likely cherish a meeting with domestic opposition given their dominance of Ligue 1, a competition they remain unbeaten in after thrashing Monaco 4-1 on Friday (W16, D5). [/p]

[p]In fact, their last defeat of any kind came against Bayern Munich in the UCL back in November (W13, D3), and the Parisians now stand to win three successive away games in the UCL for the first time in nearly four years. The previous two victories in that sequence came by three-goal margins – as did their H2H victory less than two weeks ago – so they’ll take some stopping in their pursuit of a maiden UCL crown.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Crucial in their UCL qualification last season, Pierre Lees-Melou looks to have shaken off his recent injury problems after scoring and assisting in a man of the match performance against Nantes. Remarkably, he’s never beaten PSG (D2, L12), and Ousmane Dembélé will look to make that record even worse and add to his astonishing 16-goal haul from his last ten appearances, three of which came in the recent victory over Brest.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Each of the last six H2Hs saw both teams score, though Brest avoided defeat just once.[/p]
