Brighton Leicester prediction 2025-04-12

Brighton vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-04-11 14:00.
[p]Back-to-back Premier League defeats have dented Brighton’s ambitions of qualifying for Europe, with the Seagulls entering the round in ninth and with very little margin for error. A 2-1 reverse to rivals Crystal Palace last week must have been particularly disappointing for boss Fabian Hürzeler considering that their hosts were reduced to nine men, but the Seagulls failed to take advantage and had Jan Paul van Hecke sent off for good measure.[/p]

[p]That pair of losses is as many as Brighton suffered in their 13 league outings prior (W6, D5), but they’re well placed to bounce back against a struggling Leicester side they’ve avoided defeat against in the last five league H2Hs (W2, D3). Brighton also stand to win three successive home league H2Hs for the first time ever, and may have retribution on their minds after letting a two-goal lead slip beyond the 85th minute in this season’s reverse fixture (D 2-2).[/p]

[p]That’s unlikely to be a source of solace for the beleaguered Leicester fans, who saw their side become the first in English Football League history to lose eight home league games in a row without scoring on Monday. The way the Foxes surrendered in the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle drew further ire towards the board and manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, whose future is understandably in doubt after a miserable tenure.[/p]

[p]Bound for relegation, Leicester have also lost each of their last eight league games at any venue without scoring, and could set another unwanted record as the first to ever do so in nine successive top-flight matches in England. The Foxes have at least been marginally better on the road, scoring 14 of their 25 Premier League goals away from home, while their last win in this competition came on their travels against Tottenham in late January.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: With his goal against Crystal Palace last week, Danny Welbeck became Brighton’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League (31), two of which have come in his seven H2Hs with Leicester (W2, D3, L2). Former England colleague Jamie Vardy has directly contributed to 11 goals in 12 Premier League meetings with Brighton (G7, A4), scoring and assisting in this season’s reverse fixture.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only Leicester (two) have scored first in fewer Premier League home games than Brighton (five) this season.[/p]
