Brighton Nottingham prediction 2025-03-29

Brighton vs Nottingham prediction: ENGLAND: FA Cup betting tips on match 2025-03-28 17:15.
[p]Brighton will hope the international break hasn’t had an adverse impact on their standout recent run of form, with the Seagulls unbeaten across their last seven competitive matches (W6, D1). The result of that means they remain firmly in the hunt to secure Champions League football for next term, but manager Fabian Hürzeler will surely have all eyes on becoming the first-ever Brighton boss to lift the FA Cup first.[/p]

[p]With that ambition certainly a realistic target, the Seagulls will be pleased to take on Nottingham Forest in this quarter-final on home turf, where they have won each of their past four competitive games. Success in their last two FA Cup quarter-final ties (Millwall on penalties in 2018/19 and Grimsby Town in 2022/23) should inspire confidence that they can at least seal a return to Wembley.  [/p]

[p]Nottingham Forest might have the disadvantage of being the away side, but they do have the huge psychological boost of having battered Brighton 7-0 in the last H2H meeting just last month. That, plus the 2-2 draw in this corresponding fixture in the Premier League, means another goal against them here would make Brighton the first side since Doncaster back in 1997/98 to concede 10+ competitive goals against Forest in a single season. [/p]

[p]Nuno EspĂrito Santo’s men also come into this clash in good form, undefeated in four competitive matches (W3, D1). The one FA Cup game in that run led to victory via penalties – the third occasion the winner has been decided via spot kicks from their past five FA Cup ties. Two of the last three H2Hs at this venue have also ended in stalemate, so this tie has the potential to go the distance. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Brighton’s João Pedro has been involved in seven goals in his last four starts in the FA Cup, scoring six and assisting once. Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood has scored more goals against Brighton than against any other opponent in his English club career in all competitions (12). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Since the start of the 2022/23 campaign, only Manchester City (48) and Manchester United (33) have scored more FA Cup goals (first round onwards) than Brighton (30). [/p]
