Bristol City QPR prediction 2022-10-01

Bristol City vs QPR prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-09-30 14:00.
The international break perhaps couldnā€™t have come at a better time for Bristol City, with consecutive losses halting an unbeaten six-game Championship run prior (W4, D2). As one of three Bristol City players to clock up seven Championship goal involvements already this season, Andreas Weimann (G3, A4) avoiding a serious injury during the international break will undoubtedly come as a relief to coach Nigel Pearson ahead of a gruelling eight-game schedule in October.

Returning to home turf where the Robins won their last three league games 2-0 seems the best way to kick-start their revival. Bristol City now stand a chance to post four consecutive home league wins ā€˜to nilā€™ for the first time since January 2004, but a two-game losing streak against Queens Park Rangers at Ashton Gate threatens to put an end to that run.

QPRā€™s 2-1 win here last season now gives Michael Bealeā€™s side the chance to post successive league H2H wins for the first time since October 2016. The Rs may be quietly confident of doing so given they went into the international break in the top-six spots, but even with two current top-three teams lined up next, Beale isnā€™t feeling intimidated as the incentive of breaking an eight-campaign top-flight absence remains an enticing prospect.

With two wins across their last three Championship away games (L1), the visitors are certainly travelling strong. And after a 2-0 triumph on their last road trip against Millwall, QPR can now record consecutive away league wins for the first time since winning four in a row in January, a run which ironically included a victory against Bristol City!

Players to watch: Formerly of QPR, Nahki Wells has contributed to five of Bristol Cityā€™s last eight Championship strikes (G4, A1) and his last three games against QPR to see him contribute (G3, A2) have seen his side win 2-1 away from home. A goal from QPRā€™s Ilias Chair could be a good omen for the visitors though, as his last two goals and his only H2H league strike came in a win.

Hot stat: There hasnā€™t been a league H2H draw since December 2017 (BRI: W7, L2 since).
