Burnley West Ham prediction 2023-11-25

Burnley vs West Ham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-24 15:00.
[p]With two points fewer to their name after 12 Premier League (PL) games than the infamous Derby County side of 2007/08 who hold the PL’s unwanted record of fewest points in a season, things are looking bleak for Burnley. A whopping ten defeats from 12 PL outings to date (W1, D1) is borderline embarrassing for a Clarets side who spent circa £100 million in the summer, with Burnley’s struggles highlighted by the fact even Everton’s ten point deduction didn’t move them off the foot of the table![/p]

[p]There’s no real relief in a return home either, as Burnley have already lost their first six top-flight home games this season – the only team in history to suffer such a plight. The unwanted history might not stop there for the Clarets either, as defeat here would consign them to a sixth-successive top-flight defeat for the first time since 1895 and see them become only the second team in English league history to open a campaign with seven-straight home defeats.[/p]

[p]While Burnley come into this clash firmly on a downer, West Ham travel to East Lancashire high on a 3-2 comeback win against Nottingham Forest before the international break. That win was enough to move the Hammers into the top half heading into the break, but their league form has been far from convincing as they’ve won just two of their last eight games in PL action (D1, L5).[/p]

[p]A dismal travelling record of late has largely been behind those struggles, where three successive PL away defeats have hindered West Ham’s push for the European spots. Given they’ve failed to score in three of their last four visits to Turf Moor (W1, D1, L2), it’s not a guarantee that their poor run will end here despite the fact West Ham are one of just four PL sides ahead of the round to score in every away league game this term.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Goals have been few and far between for Burnley this season, but Josh Brownhill has netted two, both coming in the second half against sides from London. Battling against him in midfield, Tomáš Souček has scored in his last three games for club and country and was on target last time these two sides met in April 2022. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Burnley have conceded before half-time in all six of their home PL games this season.[/p]
