Cadiz CF Atl. Madrid prediction 2022-10-29

Cadiz CF vs Atl. Madrid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2022-10-28 14:15.
CĂĄdiz manager Sergio GonzĂĄlez is reportedly safe, at least until the World Cup break, despite an embarrassing 5-1 loss away to Rayo Vallecano that ended a five-game La Liga (LL) run without defeat (W1, D4) and left them three points inside the relegation zone at the close of the previous round. Two penalties and a red card conceded in their last three LL matches have undone the rest of October’s hard work, leaving them only remotely likely to conquer visiting AtlĂ©tico Madrid.

The Andalusians escaped with 0-0 home draws against other high-placed clubs such as Real Betis and Villarreal during that undefeated run, and they might accept another point here considering they’ve scored in just one of their six LL home fixtures this season (D3, L3), though there were brief moments of joy in their two home losses to AtlĂ©tico over the last two seasons (L4-1 and L4-2).

Veteran AtlĂ©tico manager Diego Simeone is also under increasing pressure to keep his job and will be looking to quickly move on from their earliest UEFA Champions League (UCL) elimination since 2010. A heart-breaking penalty miss after VAR picked up on a handball after the full-time whistle confirmed their premature exit from the UCL in a 2-2 draw to Leverkusen, with Simeone candidly admitting it was the “toughest” night of his 11-year tenure.

As his exit from the club seemingly becomes a question of “when” rather than “if”, a return to away LL football, where his team have grafted the second-best away record of the season so far (W5, D1) to keep in touch with the top two, could be just the remedy. The presence of a struggling opposition in front of them should also be welcomed by the AtlĂ©tico troops, who have an aggregate score of 11-2 in four wins from four LL clashes with clubs in the bottom half of the standings after the last round.

Players to watch: CĂĄdiz veteran Álvaro Negredo has found the net in two of his last three LL appearances against AtlĂ©tico. As well as goals in four of their five LL away wins this season, AtlĂ©tico’s Antoine Griezmann was on the scoresheet in two of their four LL wins against CĂĄdiz.

Hot streak: Cådiz have lost all four LL games this season without suspended midfielder Rubén Alcaraz by a combined score of 10-0.
