Cagliari Monza prediction 2025-03-30

Cagliari vs Monza prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-29 10:30.
[p]Two teams desperate for three points meet on Sunday as Cagliari, who have won just four times in the league from round nine onwards (D5, L12), take on bottom of the table Monza. The Sardinians have not won any of their last five matches (D2, L3), scoring only two goals in the process, and begin this gameweek just four points above the relegation zone with their two-season spell in Serie A under threat.[/p]

[p]After four defeats from their last seven Serie A home games (W2, D1), as many as they suffered in their previous 15 top-flight matches as hosts, the Unipol Domus is far from a fortress for Cagliari right now. They are at least unbeaten across their last seven home H2Hs against Monza (W2, D5) in Serie A and Serie B from 1984 onwards.[/p]

[p]Breaking that negative run looks like a difficult task for Monza this weekend, as they haven’t won an away fixture since October and have lost eight games in a row on the road. That travel sickness has contributed to their meagre return of 15 points so far this season, 27 behind their tally at the same stage last season, which is the largest points difference among Serie A teams present in both campaigns.[/p]

[p]Monza have only won one of their last 21 Serie A games (D5, L15), but they almost made it two before the international break when a late equaliser from Parma condemned them to a 1-1 draw. Although that gives Alessandro Nesta’s team the opportunity to remain unbeaten in back-to-back Serie A fixtures for the first time since November, they have to overcome the huge psychological obstacle that 88 of the 92 teams to be bottom of Serie A on matchday 29 have gone on to be relegated.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Nicolas Viola has made goal contributions in two of Cagliari’s last four home league games (G1, A1), but neither ended in victory (D1, L1). Danilo D’Ambrosio will be looking to make up for his red card in January’s reverse fixture and is encouragingly unbeaten in four away H2Hs against Cagliari (W3, D1).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Cagliari have kept a clean sheet in just two Serie A home games since the start of 2024.[/p]
