Celta Vigo Valladolid prediction 2024-09-15

Celta Vigo vs Valladolid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-14 12:00.
[p]Much of the news surrounding Celta Vigo during the international break has been about them being one of only two sides in La Liga now using the controversial ‘dynamic pricing’ for tickets. Celta fans will feel they’ve seen little value for money so far this season as they head into this on the back of consecutive defeats, during which they conceded a shocking seven goals. [/p]

[p]Both of Celta’s league wins this term have come at home and they would be forgiven for assuming that may continue here against Valladolid, a side who the hosts remain unbeaten against across the last 13 La Liga home H2Hs (W6, D7). That represents Celta’s longest current unbeaten run at home against any opponent in the top-flight, whilst their current eight-match unbeaten streak in top-flight home games (W6, D2) stands as their longest since 2018. [/p]

[p]Much like their hosts, Valladolid have endured a mixed start to this La Liga campaign (W1, D1, L2), although they are without a win since beating Espanyol on opening weekend. Last season’s La Liga 2 runners-up are looking to avoid making it five seasons in a row of being either promoted or relegated, but their goalshy nature is proving a problem as they haven’t found the net in 337 regulation minutes.[/p]

[p]That barren run was bookended by a 7-0 defeat against Barcelona ahead of the international break, meaning that Valladolid have faced the most brutal return to La Liga’s away schedule by conceding ten unanswered goals across a pair of trips to Barecelona and Real Madrid. This trip represents an easier challenge on paper, but any top-flight trip will prove a mammoth task for a side who have won just two of their last 17 such games (D2, L13). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Celta full-back Óscar Mingueza leads the way for league goal contributions at the club (G2, A3) which incredibly makes this his best season in that regard after just four games. For Valladolid, Raul Moro remains the only player to score for the club this season (G1) and the sole goal in a 1-0 win means all of his goals since moving to the club were match openers. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Celta remain unbeaten in 81% of their home league games as pre-match favourites since the start of last season (W7, D6, L3). [/p]
