Chelsea FC Copenhagen prediction 2025-03-13

Chelsea vs FC Copenhagen prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-03-12 20:00.
[p]Holding a slender 2-1 advantage from the first leg, Chelsea host Copenhagen knowing that simply avoiding defeat will see them through to the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals. The heavy favourites to win the Conference League will hope to advance in style after winning their last three games in all competitions, scoring seven goals with just one in reply.[/p]

[p]The Blues shouldn’t have any issues making that four straight wins, especially as this is a competition in which they’ve won all seven games during the main draw. Each of their three home games in the league phase saw them net at least four times, and although they haven’t always been quite as convincing, including in their 1-0 weekend win over Leicester, Chelsea have only been beaten once at home since losing against Manchester City on Premier League opening weekend (W14, D4). [/p]

[p]That highlights the magnitude of the task for Copenhagen, who will need to make a piece of history to advance. No Danish side has ever beaten Chelsea (D2, L5), while Copenhagen themselves have never beaten an English side away from home, with their two historical wins against English opposition both coming in the Danish capital (D5, L11).[/p]

[p]Copenhagen’s preparations for this game have been far from ideal too, as they were held to a 1-1 Superliga draw against Sønderjyske at the weekend – a result which saw them knocked off top spot. Their latest disappointment stretched their winless run to three matches (D2, L1), but redemption could come on the road in this competition, where they’ve won two of their last three matches inside 90 minutes, albeit the quality of the opposition here is much higher. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Added to Chelsea’s Conference League squad for the knockouts, Cole Palmer hasn’t scored since mid-January. He missed a penalty at the weekend, but his last three goals all opened the scoring before the 20th minute. Gabriel Pereira’s first-leg goal has kept Copenhagen in the tie – all three of his goals for the club have been headers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Copenhagen have only scored more than once in two of their last nine games in all competitions.[/p]
