Club Brugge KV Bodo/Glimt prediction 2023-12-14

Club Brugge KV vs Bodo/Glimt prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-12-13 20:00.
Club Brugge already know they’ll be playing European football after Christmas for the fifth time in six seasons after sealing qualification last time out with a dominant 5-0 win away to Beşiktaş. The Blue-Black have only qualified for the knockout stages of a continental competition as group winners on two previous occasions, but will seal top spot in UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) Group D if they avoid defeat at home to Bodø/Glimt.

The Belgian outfit will certainly be full of confidence, given they are unbeaten in the UECL so far this season (W4, D1), including a 1-0 victory over their Norwegian visitors in October. Furthermore, Ronny Deila’s side are on a seven-game unbeaten run across all competitions (W5, D2), while they have not conceded a goal in nearly 11 hours of competitive action.

That shows the difficulty of the task awaiting Bodø/Glimt, especially when you consider they have only picked up one victory from their eight previous away group games in European football (D5, L2). It’s a blessing then that they travel to the Jan Breydel Stadium already assured of at least a place in the knockout play-off thanks to three wins in five games (D1, L1), but they could still snatch top spot from their hosts if they pick up a victory by a margin of two goals or more.

The Norwegian side, who have never previously won a group in a UEFA competition, come into the game on the back of the shock news that assistant boss Morten Kalvenes decided to leave the club for a management role of his own following their final league game of the campaign at the weekend, a 1-0 defeat against Molde which was their second defeat in four games – a huge come down from their seven straight wins prior.

Players to watch: Club Brugge’s Andreas Skov Olsen has only lost one of the last 37 games in which he has scored (W24, D12). He will be attempting to out-gun Amahl Pellegrino, who has netted first or last in seven of his last nine goalscoring appearances.

Hot stat: Bodø/Glimt have not conceded first in any of their five UECL away games this season (W3, D2).
