Como Bologna prediction 2024-09-14

Como vs Bologna prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-09-13 13:00.
[p]The international break came at the best possible time for a Como side who have endured a miserable start to life back in Italy’s top-flight after 21 years away. Cesc Fábregas’ men sit bottom of the table after they failed to win any of their first three matches (D1, L2), with their most recent disappointment coming in a 1-0 defeat to Udinese in which they had more possession and shots on goal.[/p]

[p]Perhaps unsurprisingly, Fábregas was quick to defend his side after that result, stating they ‘’dominated the entire match’’. Performances will count for little if points don’t follow in the near future for Como though, and with just one goal scored and no clean sheet this league campaign, they need their first Serie A home match of the season to produce something to cling to.[/p]

[p]Como’s boss may find some encouragement from his side’s positive H2H record against upcoming opponents Bologna (W8, D5, L5), including a 5-1 thumping  the last time they squared off in Serie A back in 2002/03! The visitors could ill-afford any repeat of that result after their own dismal start to the season left them in the drop zone alongside Como (D2, L1).[/p]

[p]That forms part of a five-game winless run in the league overall (D3, L2), and with their maiden UEFA Champions League campaign beginning next week, Vincenzo Italiano will need to correct their course sooner rather than later. Despite a 3-0 defeat to Napoli in their only previous away trip of the season, another away assignment may have the Bologna squad confident after they beat Napoli and Roma on the road at the back end of the previous campaign.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Striker Patrick Cutrone scored both of Como’s goals so far this season – he’s never previously netted in six meetings with Bologna, but he boasts an unbeaten H2H record (W5, D1). Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian hit the target within two minutes against Empoli before the international break – the fourth time in six scoring appearances that he’s netted the match opener.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Como have conceded four first-half goals from their three Serie A games this season – more than any other side in the division.[/p]
