Como Venezia prediction 2025-03-08

Como vs Venezia prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-07 14:00.
[p]It’s a sign of how highly-rated Como manager Cesc Fàbregas is that despite the club’s lowly league position, the Spaniard is being linked with a string of top jobs across Italy. Fàbregas helped guide the Blue and Whites back to Serie A after a 21-year absence last summer, and with Como sitting six points above the relegation zone, director Carlalberto Ludi has been forced to quash reports of an impending departure. [/p]

[p]The gap to the bottom three would’ve been more handsome but for a 2-1 defeat to Roma on Sunday, when Como squandered the lead. That result came on the back of victories against Fiorentina and Napoli though, two wins which highlight the improvements Como have made in recent weeks. Three of their seven league successes have come since the turn of the year (D1, L5), despite their nine outings in 2025 all coming against teams currently in the top half of the table.[/p]

[p]Things might therefore get a little easier against struggling Venezia, who are now five points adrift of safety after a ten-game winless streak (D5, L5). To make matters worse, long-suffering fans have now gone over six hours without seeing their side score, with the Winged Ones mustering a pitiful ten shots on target in their four matches since a 3-2 defeat to Udinese in early February.[/p]

[p]The most recent of those games saw Eusebio Di Francesco’s side play out a second goalless stalemate in a row as they drew 0-0 with Atalanta. The manager insists “results will come,” but history suggests that won’t be the case here, as Venezia haven’t won an away H2H in the league since 1995 (D1, L4)![/p]

[p]Key battle: Goalkeeper Jean Butez has kept only one clean sheet in nine appearances since joining Como in January, conceding at least twice on five occasions and saving just 63.6% of the shots that have come his way. That could be good news for Venezia’s Mirko Marić, who has not scored in 19 appearances, but nine of his last ten goals have come after half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of this round, Venezia have won an average 3.21 corners per away game in Serie A this season, a joint-low for the division. [/p]
