Crystal Palace vs Brentford prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-01-25 14:00.
[p]Crystal Palace are continually proving themselves to be one of the most in-form English teams, having now registered three successive competitive victories ‘to nil’. The latest two have both come in the Premier League, with 2-0 wins away to both Leicester City and West Ham, forming the tail-end of a run that’s seen them lose just twice in their last 14 league games (W6, D6). [/p]
[p]This fruitful period has seen the Eagles move away from the relegation zone after an early season stint in the bottom-three, and they’ll have their eyes firmly set on leapfrogging Brentford, whom they trail by a point. Improving their position in the table won’t be the home side’s only motivating factor here, as after their victory over West Ham last round, Palace could win back-to-back top-flight London derbies for the first time since April 2017.[/p]
[p]Brentford have been far less fortunate on the local scene recently, going winless in their last five Premier League London derbies (D1, L4) since beating Palace 2-1 in the reverse fixture. They’ll therefore be gunning for their first league double over the Eagles since 1955/56, but will have to overcome a six-match winless run at Selhurst Park to do so (D3, L3). [/p]
[p]The Bees’ recent form doesn’t suggest they’ll correct that record, with their 2-0 loss to Liverpool last round leaving them with just one win in their last nine matches across all competitions (D2, L6). Playing on a Sunday only seems to diminish their chances further too, having lost five of their last six league games on this day, albeit their sole win in that run was the reverse fixture on the opening weekend. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Eberechi Eze has either scored or assisted in each of his last five games (G2, A3) – he’s aiming to score against Brentford for a third season running. Yoane Wissa assisted Brentford’s first goal before scoring the winner in the reverse fixture, and his last three goals have all come after the 80th minute.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Crystal Palace conceded the first goal in eight of their 11 home league games this season.[/p]
