Crystal Palace Leicester prediction 2024-09-14

Crystal Palace vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-09-13 14:00.
[p]After finishing last season as one of the Premier League’s form outfits, Crystal Palace have made an underwhelming start to the 2024/25 top-flight campaign (D1, L2), getting off the mark just before the international break with a 1-1 draw at Chelsea. They’ll hope to go one better when Leicester City journey to South London, and with Palace winning more Premier League games against the Foxes (nine) than against any other side, the chances would appear high. [/p]

[p]Rediscovering the form that saw them win their final four home league games of last season while scoring an average of four goals per game will certainly help them on their way to getting off the mark for the season. Palace fans will hope their 2-0 matchday two loss here to West Ham was just a blip as they haven’t lost consecutive home league games in 2024.[/p]

[p]Although without a league win on the pitch this term, Leicester City have triumphed in one area as they’ve just successfully avoided punishment for alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations. They share the same league record as their hosts (D1, L2) but sit one place higher on goal difference after following up a 1-1 draw with Tottenham by losing their next two league fixtures 2-1. [/p]

[p]Interestingly, three of the last five H2Hs also produced a 2-1 scoreline, with the East Midlands side winning two of those matches. That’s where the positive omens end, as the latest of those meetings saw them defeated here at Selhurst Park, which hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for Leicester, who have won just one of the last seven away H2Hs (D3, L3). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Eberechi Eze is the only Palace player to score in the league this term, with his goal against Chelsea his fifth in a row in all competitions to arrive after the 50th minute. Facundo Buonanotte, who has two goal contributions (G1, A1) across Leicester’s last two league games, netted in the first half against Palace for Brighton last term.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Neither Palace nor Leicester have scored before the 30th minute in the league this term.[/p]
