Crystal Palace Wolves prediction 2025-05-20

Crystal Palace vs Wolves prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-05-19 19:00.
[p]Following a historic FA Cup triumph at the weekend, Crystal Palace’s attention must swiftly return to Premier League matters for their penultimate game. Oliver Glasner’s men may still be on cloud nine after securing the club’s first-ever piece of major silverware, and perhaps a little worse for wear after the Austrian cancelled training in the wake of their success. [/p]

[p]A rapturous Selhurst Park awaits Palace after securing European football for next season. That support alone won’t necessarily pull them through here, as outside of games against the bottom four, Palace have won just two of 13 home league matches (D6, L5). Despite that dreary record, the Eagles often finish strongly here, as they have lost just one of their last 12 games to end a home league campaign (W8, D3). [/p]

[p]In contrast to that record, Wolves travel to south London looking to end an eight-year run of defeats in their final away league game, while they also need to snap an ongoing four-game run of defeats in away H2Hs. Looking to take advantage of any potential cup hangover, Wolves are much like their hosts in the fact that they have nothing but pride and mid-table places to play for in the final two rounds. [/p]

[p]Adding to the sense of trepidation ahead of this trip must be Wolves’ rotten league return in London this season (W1, D1, L4). Conceding at least twice in each game during that run, Wolves have now failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 23 Premier League games in the capital. One small positive may be coach Vítor Pereira’s experience of facing Glasner-managed sides, grinding out two 1-1 draws against his Frankfurt side as Fenerbahçe’s coach in the Europa League.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: While Dean Henderson rightly earned praise for his six saves in Palace’s cup triumph, including keeping out a penalty, Eberechi Eze scored the winner and will hope for another strong showing against Wolves, who he’s scored a joint career-high four Premier League goals against. Jørgen Strand Larsen could be an outlet for Wolves after finding the net in five of his last seven appearances, while he also scored in the reverse 2-2 draw. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The side scoring first went on to win seven of Wolves’ last eight away league games (W4, L4). [/p]
