Czech Republic U21 England U21 prediction 2025-06-12

Czech Republic U21 vs England U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-11 19:00.
[p]It’s a tough start for the Czech Republic as they get their UEFA European U21 Championship under way at the DAC Aréna in Dunajská Streda against holders England. This Group B battle is actually a repeat of how the 2023 edition of the tournament started for both sides, and the Czechs will hope for a better result this time after falling to a 2-0 defeat two years ago. [/p]

[p]This is the Czechs’ tenth finals appearance, and a fifth in six editions of the competition, while they can boast having won the tournament back in 2002. They’ve struggled to repeat that success in more recent editions, crashing out at the group stage in each of their last four tournament appearances, and given they’re also without a win in three international matches, Czech Republic are unlikely to arrive with much confidence (D2, L1). [/p]

[p]England’s victory over their opponents back in 2023 was one of six in succession en route to claiming the U21 title for the first time in 39 years. They won all those fixtures without conceding a single goal, meaning Lee Carsley’s men have a lot to live up to as they aim to reclaim their crown, and although recent form is patchy with just one win in their past four matches leading into the tournament (D2, L1), they’re still one of the pre-tournament favourites. [/p]

[p]When isolating solely competitive form, it’s easy to see why Carsley’s side have been singled out as a contender to lift the trophy. They were a particularly potent force in qualifying as they romped to top spot in Group F, netting 41 goals which was more than any other side! [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Václav Sejk was the Czechs’ top scorer in qualifying, netting four goals, but he is without one in his past four matches for his country at this level. Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott grabbed a goal and an assist in their penultimate game of the season. He is also a member of the victorious 2023 squad and was England’s top scorer in qualifying (G7). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: England have scored at least once before half-time in four of their past five international matches.[/p]
