Dortmund vs Hoffenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-12-14 16:30.
[p]Two successive Bundesliga draws have seen Borussia Dortmund slip to sixth place ahead of this weekend, but the Black and Yellow will be confident about getting back to winning ways against struggling Hoffenheim, who they have beaten in six of the last seven H2Hs (L1), although the defeat in that run was in their most recent meeting. [/p]
[p]Another boost for the Bundesliga giants will be their exceptional home league form, having not lost any of their last ten such matches (W8, D2), while scoring at least four goals in five of those encounters. Expect there to be nerves at the other end however, as ten of the last 11 Bundesliga games involving Nuri Şahin’s men have seen both teams on the day find the net. [/p]
[p]Hoffenheim by contrast are looking for Bundesliga survival this season, entering this matchday just three points above the bottom three and having won none of their last five games in all competitions (D2, L3) since Christian Ilzer’s first in charge. The squad could do worse therefore than draw inspiration from their 3-2 win over Dortmund in February, even if neither of the visitors’ goalscorers that day will be available to help them this time around.[/p]
[p]That encounter was one of just two games away from home in 2024 in which Hoffenheim have scored at least three goals, and alarmingly, they have failed to find the net in their last six such matches. Given those statistics, it’s perhaps unsurprising to learn that they are currently enduring their worst start to a Bundesliga season in nine years, while, since the start of the 2020/21 campaign, of the sides that have faced Dortmund at least eight times, they have been the least successful in terms of points per game (0.5). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: After two matches without scoring, Serhou Guirassy got a brace in the UEFA Champions League against Barcelona in midweek (L 3-2), but that was the third time already this season that Dortmund have lost despite the Guinean finding the net. Hoffenheim’s last goal in an away game was Valentin Gendrey’s effort in early October at Stuttgart, and the Frenchman has never been on the losing side in his senior career when getting on the scoresheet (W1, D3). [/p]
[p]Hot streak: Dortmund’s last goalless Bundesliga home game was in January 2018![/p]
