Eintracht Frankfurt vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-09-20 16:30.
[p]After starting their 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign with a 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund, fans of Eintracht Frankfurt may have been nervous for the season ahead, but those fears have been put to rest for now with successive 3-1 and 2-1 victories over Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg respectively. The Deutsche Bank Park faithful will now be hoping their Eagles can soar to three successive Bundesliga victories, a feat not achieved since December 2021.[/p]
[p]The markets are favouring Frankfurt to do just that in this tie with Borussia Mönchengladbach, and at a minimum it’s hard to see them losing since Dino Toppmöller’s men have suffered defeat just twice in their last 28 home league matches (W14, D12). One aspect that could derail their plans is their defensive unit, which has been found wanting more often than not with Frankfurt registering a single clean sheet in their last 21 matches in all competitions (W6, D8, L7). [/p]
[p]Whether Mönchengladbach can take advantage of their hosts’ faulty backline remains to be seen, but even if they do, they’ll more than likely be under fire themselves since they’ve only managed two shutouts in their last 18 games. Their most recent defensive lapse saw them lose 3-1 to Stuttgart last round, which was their second consecutive league defeat at home.[/p]
[p]They may therefore appreciate hitting the road again if they can repeat a recent 2-0 away win over Bochum, which as a result sees them ahead only of Bochum for Bundesliga points collected this calendar year (20) when disregarding newly promoted and relegated clubs. The hopes that things will get better against Frankfurt here don’t look too promising, since the Foals are currently on a six-game winless streak against their hosts (D3, L3). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Frankfurt’s Mario Götze loves a game against Gladbach, having lost just two of his 18 ties against them (W11, D5) while racking up ten goal contributions on the way (G2, A8). His H2H record could take a hit if Franck Honorat finds himself on the scoresheet, something the visitors will be praying for since he’s been on the winning side in six of his last seven goalscoring outings (D1). [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Since the start of last season, Gladbach have won just three league games when starting as outsiders (D7, L14).[/p]
