Eintracht Frankfurt Bochum prediction 2024-02-10

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bochum prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-02-09 14:30.
After suffering a disappointing 2-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Cologne last Saturday, Eintracht Frankfurt will be glad to return to the home comforts of Deutsche Bank Park, where they’ve won each of their last three outings. A victory this weekend against Bochum could take them to within two points of RB Leipzig, currently fifth, and is an outcome that certainly seems achievable as the Eagles are unbeaten in the last seven H2Hs (W5, D2) on their own patch.

Eintracht can also be encouraged by the fact that they haven’t lost on the 11 occasions (W8, D3) when they’ve taken the lead in the Bundesliga this season. One of those three draws came in the reverse fixture against Bochum (1-1), but the hosts here boast the third-best defensive record in the league, having conceded 24 times this campaign, a figure only inferior to the current top two of Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

Despite heading to Frankfurt sitting 14th and just six points above third-from-bottom Cologne, Bochum, appropriately nicknamed the Unrelegateables, have registered all four of their wins this term in their last 11 games (D4, L3). However, after taking just one point from the last six on offer, they’ll make the trip south feeling a bit blue, especially after seeing a 1-0 lead slip through their fingers in the 91st minute against Augsburg which forced them to settle for a point.

Since their long-awaited top-flight return in 2021, Bochum have held the upper hand in this H2H (W2, D2, L1). Seven of those eight points have been collected at home though, while Thomas Letsch’s side have also failed to taste victory after falling behind this season (D2, L7) – one of six Bundesliga teams yet to get off the mark in that respect – so a quick start for the visitors could be needed here.

Players to watch: Ansgar Knauff has scored in two of Frankfurt’s last four matches and has never been on the losing side when he‘s found the net at senior club level (W10, D2). Kevin Stöger has the most goal involvements for Bochum in 2023/24 – ten (G4, A6) – but on each of the last three occasions that he’s recorded either a goal or an assist, he’s also been booked.

Hot stat: Bochum have a league-high 63 yellow cards in the Bundesliga this campaign.
