Eintracht Frankfurt Dortmund prediction 2023-10-29

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Dortmund prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-10-28 14:30.
Back-to-back Bundesliga victories have helped to turn the tide for Eintracht Frankfurt, who find themselves just outside the European qualification spots ahead of matchday nine. The hosts have lost just one of their opening eight league fixtures overall (W3, D4, L1), but their winning edge has proven blunt after picking up the joint-most draws in the division so far.

Unlike their 6-0 midweek romp of HJK in the UEFA Europa Conference League, it’s fair to say that Frankfurt’s league outings so far have lacked entertainment, with just 50% of their matches seeing both sides find the net. That’s because they’ve scored just nine times, but in more impressive circumstances, they’ve also only conceded six goals, the lowest such tally in the league ahead of this matchday which leaves them well-placed for the visit of Borussia Dortmund.

Still unbeaten across their opening eight Bundesliga matches of the new campaign (W6, D2), Dortmund will arrive here in even higher spirits after securing a 1-0 victory away to Newcastle in midweek UEFA Champions League action. Edin Terzić’s side looked good value for that win despite facing late pressure, and will be hoping to add to that success by claiming a 53rd competitive H2H win here, with their current tally of 52 standing as their most against any side in club history.

The visitors will also be looking to extend their current 16-game unbeaten Bundesliga run here, their best such streak since a 31-match sequence between 2011 and 2012. That could be considered likely with a glance at their away record, given that Dortmund haven’t lost any of their prior six league trips (W3, D3), the joint-longest such run in the competition alongside rivals Bayern Munich.

Players to watch: Omar Marmoush has six competitive goals for Frankfurt this season, with four of those serving as his side’s opening strike. Dortmund’s Julian Brandt has been in fine form this term too, directly contributing to seven goals in eight league matches (G3, A4) – he also scored the opener in this fixture last campaign!

Hot stat: Each of the last seven H2Hs at this venue saw both teams score.
