Eintracht Frankfurt Galatasaray prediction 2025-09-18

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Galatasaray prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – League phase betting tips on match 2025-09-17 19:00.
[p]Eintracht Frankfurt will be determined to make a splash as their second UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaign gets underway against Turkish challengers Galatasaray.[/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]Frankfurt saw their unbeaten start to the campaign end on Friday as they lost 3-1 to Bayer Leverkusen. Before that result, Dino Toppmöller’s side had won three consecutive fixtures this term, scoring 12 goals in the process. It should hardly be a surprise that they are proving so lethal in the final third, as only three teams in the Bundesliga found the net more times than them last season. The Eagles are expected to translate that form to Europe too, as prior to their UEFA Europa League quarter-final defeat to Tottenham in April (3-1 on aggregate), the German outfit had scored in ten successive European home games (including qualifying).[/p]

[p]That is not good news for their visitors, who last kept an away clean sheet in continental football against Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana in the UCL third qualifying round in 2023, 12 matches ago. In fact, Galatasaray have a miserable recent record on the road in European games, failing to win in six attempts last season (D3, L3). Okan Buruk’s men have certainly fared better domestically though, with a 2-0 victory over Eyüpspor on Saturday maintaining a 100% start to 2025/26 and keeping them top of the Süper Lig table as they look to defend their title, having now won their last 16 matches in all competitions dating back to early April![/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]Frankfurt are looking to make history here, as they are winless from two previous H2Hs (D1, L1), although those meetings were 33 years ago in the second round of the UEFA Cup.[/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Frankfurt’s last six games in all competitions have all featured 4+ goals.[/p]

[p]Frankfurt’s last three encounters have seen both teams score in the second half.[/p]

[p]Eleven of Galatasaray’s 12 games in Europe last season saw both sides find the net[/p]

[p]Galatasaray have scored at least twice in each of their five fixtures this term.[/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]Frankfurt’s Jean-Mattéo Bahoya has already equalled his three-goal haul from last season, while five of his six strikes since the start of 2024/25 have come before half-time. Barış Yılmaz has had a stellar campaign so far too, with his three goals in as many appearances for Galatasaray all serving as the first or last of the game.[/p]

[p]Mario Götze continues to recover from a muscle problem, so looks set to miss out for Frankfurt. If Victor Osimhen returns from an ankle injury, Galatasaray should have a clean bill of health.[/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]There has been plenty of action when these sides have played this season, so both teams to score and over 2.5 goals might provide some value.[/p]
