Eintracht Frankfurt Hertha Berlin prediction 2023-02-04

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hertha Berlin prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-02-03 14:30.
It was an incredible weekend for Eintracht Frankfurt as they took a point from ten-time consecutive champions, Bayern Munich, in a 1-1 draw. That kept the gap between first and sixth at a historical low of just five points at this stage of the season (three points for a win era only), although veteran midfielder Mario Götze has vowed that the sixth-placed Eagles will keep up their pursuit of the leaders.

Making good on that promise would be a huge improvement for Frankfurt as their league form fell off a cliff following the winter break last season due to their European success, and that’s a risk again with a European date against Napoli coming up on the horizon. Returning to Deutsche Bank Park can only be seen as a positive for Frankfurt though, as only two sides have scored more than their 15 goals across the last five home rounds (W4, L1).

Hertha Berlin’s solid start is firmly in the rear-view mirror as six unbeaten games from the first nine Bundesliga rounds was followed up with seven defeats from the next nine, culminating in a recent 2-0 Berlin derby defeat. Not only did Hertha fail to claim local bragging rights with that result, but they also failed to escape the relegation zone and they now sit two points adrift of safety.

The second-longest active losing streak of Bundesliga away games (L4) isn’t helping Hertha claw their way out of danger and neither is their poor transfer policy, which resulted in the shock sacking of sporting director Fredi Bobic earlier this week! A failure to improve quickly could soon force the board’s hand again, given Sandro Schwarz is the ninth permanent Hertha boss since 2019!

Players to watch: Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani has made more goal contributions than any other Bundesliga player this season (G7, A10), with his last three goals coming in 1-1 draws. Not quite as influential, Suat Serdar has scored Hertha’s only goal since the restart, which came in a 3-1 defeat, and they’ve gone on to concede seven goals in two games since.

Hot stat: The starting match favourite has a joint league-low 39% win rate in games involving Frankfurt this season (W7, D5, L6).
