Eintracht Frankfurt Hoffenheim prediction 2024-08-31

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-08-30 13:30.
[p]The opening round of Bundesliga action wasn’t especially kind to last season’s sixth-placed finishers Eintracht Frankfurt, who fell to a 2-0 defeat at Dortmund to extend their winless league run to five games (D2, L3). There is no guarantee of ending that sour streak here as Frankfurt failed to win their opening home league game of a new season in three of their last four campaigns (W1, D2, L1). [/p]

[p]A visit from one of only two sides that the Eagles beat both home and away last season, Hoffenheim, could be just what boss Dino Toppmöller needs to get their season off the ground. Both of those victories came by 3-1 scorelines and saw Frankfurt come from behind to win, which actually made up half of their win tally when conceding first in league action last season (W4, D7, L8). [/p]

[p]In contrast to their hosts, Hoffenheim began their Bundesliga campaign in style with an entertaining 3-2 win against a ten-man Holstein Kiel. That was a relief for the Sinsheimers, who had lost the opening game of each of their previous two Bundesliga campaigns. Even so, the visitors finished just one point behind Frankfurt last time around and they’ll undoubtedly make this a hard fought and competitive fixture. [/p]

[p]Another indicator of this game being a competitive affair is Hoffenheim’s unpredictability when priced up as pre-match outsiders away from home, evidenced by their respectable 43% unbeaten rate across the last 14 such games (W4, D2, L8). A closely-fought affair could also turn out to be an entertaining spectacle, as the last six Frankfurt-held H2Hs produced 3.83 goals per match on average, whilst five saw both teams score. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush could be the man to get them out of a sticky situation after he directly contributed to the equaliser in both league H2Hs last season (G1, A1). Simply unplayable at times, Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramarić made it eight straight league games with a goal contribution (G10, A5). He also became just the third player after the legendary Gerd Müller and Klaus Fischer to score hat-tricks on two Bundesliga opening days after also doing so in 2020/21. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Both teams scored on the day in all eight of coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s eight personal managerial H2Hs against Frankfurt (W1, D3, L4). [/p]
