Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-28 17:30.
[p]Back-to-back Bundesliga home defeats for the first time under head coach Dino Toppmöller have pulled Eintracht Frankfurt back towards the chasing pack in the battle for a UEFA Champions League (UCL) spot. The club have only played in continental football’s premier competition twice in their history, but dreams of a return to Europe’s top table have been fuelled by holding a place in the top four since early November.[/p]
[p]The Eagles did at least arrest a slump of three successive Bundesliga losses by beating Bochum 3-1 before the international break. That means they have a three-point cushion over fifth place ahead of this round of fixtures, but it will perhaps be of some concern to Frankfurt supporters that only one side in the top six after matchday 26 has averaged lower than their 1.85 points per home league game this season.[/p]
[p]Attempting to take advantage of that will be Stuttgart, who have made a bit of unwanted club history in recent weeks by dropping points from a winning position in five consecutive Bundesliga games. The most recent of those was a 4-3 reversal against Bayer Leverkusen, as the Reds squandered a 3-1 lead and now find themselves in the bottom half of the table for the first time since January.[/p]
[p]To put things in further context, Stuttgart have actually only won one of their last eight Bundesliga matches (D2, L5), conceding at least twice on six of those occasions. They are therefore at risk of missing out on qualifying for European football, but that has not stopped Sebastian Hoeneß being rewarded with a new contract, as the head coach – who guided Stuttgart to the UCL for the first time in 15 years – has put pen to paper on a deal that runs until 2028.[/p]
[p]Key battle: Michy Batshuayi has scored twice in his last three appearances for Frankfurt, while eight of his nine strikes this season have come in the second half. He may have to get past Stuttgart defender Maximilian Mittelstädt, who has won more tackles (49) than anybody else in the Bundesliga this term ahead of the weekend. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Stuttgart have dropped 18 points after scoring first this season – the highest such figure in the Bundesliga. [/p]
