Eintracht Frankfurt Union Berlin prediction 2025-03-09

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Berlin prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-08 14:30.
[p]It’s been a frustrating period for Eintracht Frankfurt, who were keeping pace with the Bundesliga’s top two sides before a run of just one win in their last six league games (D3, L2) saw their status as a top-four side come under severe pressure. Those defeats came in their most recent Bundesliga outings against leaders Bayern Munich and reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, with Dino Toppmöller’s men crumbling under the pressure to fall to 4-0 and 4-1 defeats respectively.[/p]

[p]The Eagles could now lose three Bundesliga matches in succession for the first time under Toppmöller’s management, but a midweek UEFA Europa League win 2-1 away at Ajax must have restored some confidence. A date with Union Berlin should also heighten the hopes of the Deutsche Bank Park faithful, since Frankfurt have lost just one of the nine H2Hs at home (W5, D3) and kept a clean sheet in their last three such encounters.[/p]

[p]Union are coming off a trio of league defeats, the most recent being a shock 1-0 loss at home to Holstein Kiel who were bottom of the standings at the time. Their poor form means they have posted a dismal 23 points after 24 matchdays this season, which represents their worst Bundesliga campaign at this stage of a season. [/p]

[p]Die Eisernen hit rock-bottom in their last away day, when they suffered a club record 6-0 Bundesliga defeat to Borussia Dortmund. Manager Steffen Baumgart might hold the keys to a change of fortune here, since he has picked up more Bundesliga points against Frankfurt than any other side (W3, D3, L1).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson will be confident after finding the net in midweek against Ajax, and could make his mark early with that the tenth of his 11 goals to come before half-time. Benedict Hollerbach has sparked his team into life by scoring Union’s opener in eight of his last nine goalscoring appearances, including in this season’s reverse fixture.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The same half-time result has been repeated at full-time in eight of Eintracht’s last ten Bundesliga matches.[/p]
