Empoli Torino prediction 2024-12-13

Empoli vs Torino prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-12-12 19:45.
[p]On a high after a Coppa Italia victory over Fiorentina, a first-half blitz helped Empoli follow up and overpower Verona 4-1, a result which affords Roberto D’Aversa’s side the chance to post three competitive wins in a row for the first time this season. That will need them to enter new territory as the Blues are yet to post consecutive league wins this season, with their three previous such victories all followed by draws.[/p]

[p]To arrest that run, Empoli will have to win consecutive top-flight H2Hs against Torino for the first time since May 2016, following a 3-2 victory here last season. The primary challenge for the hosts is to improve their recent form at Stadio Carlo Castellani, with just one win from seven home league games (D4, L2) this season below par for a side hoping to be looking up rather than over their shoulder.[/p]

[p]Torino have already lost 2-1 to Empoli in the Coppa Italia earlier in this campaign and that defeat was the first in a run of 11 games that yielded just one competitive win (D2, L8). Despite such poor recent results, the Bulls are just three points behind their hosts and could replace them in the top-half with a win! Scoring in ten consecutive H2Hs should boost belief they’re in with a chance, but extending that run looks a tall order on current form, as Paolo Vanoli’s side failed to score in five of their last six games (D2, L4).[/p]

[p]That barren scoring run included their last three away matches, although their 0-0 draw against Genoa in their last such game did at least end a four match losing away league run. Torino could be focusing on improving their starts, as five of their last six away games saw them concede at least once before half-time, four times earlier than the 30th minute.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Sebastiano Esposito could look to strike early for Empoli with his last three goals scored before the 20th minute, while Contrastingly Torino’s Ché Adams prefers to take his time to make his impact, with his last three club goals arriving beyond the hour mark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Just one of Torino’s last seven games saw both teams score.[/p]
